The core mission of Beatrice Bruno, The Drill Sergeant of Life, is to help those who desire to become the Commanders they were created to be in the Army of Life .

After my initiation into the United States Army between March and August of 1977, there was no way in the world I would ever consider becoming a Drill Sergeant.

God obviously had other plans. Funny how life works out, isn't it?

Late in 1986, my company commander, then-Captain Gary F. Lamb, called me into his office. AT the time, we were assigned to the United States Army Europe Band and Chorus: I was a singing soldier.

CPT Lamb summoned me to his office to inform me he had nominated me for Drill Sergeant Duty.

I was appalled!

I was about 10 years into my Army career. I had no thoughts or inclinations of becoming a Drill Sergeant…or so I thought.

Even after CPT Lamb told me he had nominated me because he thought I would make a great Drill Sergeant, I still did not want it!

The dastardly deed was done! There were no take-backs!

I was accepted into the Drill Sergeant program.

I was to report to Fort Dix, NJ in June 1987. I would be assigned as a hard-hat, a Drill Sergeant Candidate, before my class started at the Fort Dix US Army Drill Sergeant Academy in October.

I was in shock.

I was assigned to touch and affect the lives of Basic Training soldiers as they became some of the same soldiers you currently see returning from Army bases and war zones around the world.

At the time, I did not look at it as a privilege. I looked at it as my duty…a military duty I did not want.

But I did it.

I served for two years as a Drill Sergeant for Basic Training soldiers.

I loved it!

I was good at my job. My main focus was on getting these new recruits through 8 weeks of Basic Training so they could be all they could be in the US Army.

I learned many things while serving as a Drill Sergeant:

1. The main reason a Basic Trainee could not endure eight weeks of training was because he/she needed to get over him or herself.
2. A good swift (sometimes) mental kick to the seat of the pants needed to be applied. This would assist the soldier in getting out of his or her own way, making it possible to have a 99.9% chance of completing Basic Training and moving on toward being a Soldier.
3. In order to get what you want out of life, not everyone would make it.

Basic Training was not for everyone. Some, we sent home. They were not going to make it through the training. Some, we sent back through training because they needed a restart.

Where are you in your life?

Whether you acknowledge it or not, you are on the Battlefield of Life. Many of you are currently in a form of Basic Training as you forge through different skirmishes and battles to make it to where you desire to be in life at this point.

The Drill Sergeant of Life has been assigned to a Boot-Camp near you! She is committed to meeting your needs.

If you have forgotten how to be a Soldier in the Army of Life, she is here to remind you.

The Drill Sergeant of Life will help you...

  • Get Over Yourself,
  • Get Out of Your Own Way, and,
  • Let Go of the PAST so you can Get What YOU Want Out of Life!

She will whip you back into shape so you will excel in the Army of Life!

We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and help you be all that YOU can be in the Army of Life.

FORWARD! MARCH!!!

Beatrice's Testimony…

When my granddad, Freeman Stalworth, passed when I was 13, my life took a nosedive. I went wild and began hanging out with a very unsavory crew. After Daddy passed, there was no one left to care for me, to my way of thinking.

I began playing basketball in the 7th grade; I was actually very good at it. Basketball was an outlet for me.

My coach, the late Coach Jean Johnson, became a surrogate mother for me. She cared for me; she talked to me and gave me counsel. But even with all her awesomeness, she could not prevent my going astray and following after the wrong crowd.

At the age of 16, in my junior year of high school, I got pregnant. The only things I did right at that time was decide to keep my baby, come what may, and to finish high school.

After my gorgeous daughter was born, I made another decision that would totally affect my life for the rest of my life: I joined the US Army.

In the Army, I would become something more than that 'fast Stalworth gal.' I would become a soldier, one who moved differently than she had ever moved before.

I didn't know that God had orchestrated this whole scenario so I would later become The Drill Sergeant of Life, and would help people get over themselves, get out of their own way, and let go of the PAST so they could get what they wanted out of life.

And now, that's me!

By God's grace and mercy, He turned my life around so I could be all HE has created me to be in these seasons of my life.

On May 15, 1991, He got my attention. I received Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. My life has not been the same since.

I have been walking, talking, preaching, and teaching the Kingdom of God since then.

My goal is still No Soldier Left Behind. We are all called to be Soldiers in the Army of the Lord.

We have courses designed just for you in the season you are in. Check us out!

God bless Y'all!
